The original lineup of The Pretty Babies will reconvene on March 25 at Joe’s Pub in New York City, performing Blondie’s breakthrough 1978 third album, Parallel Lines, in its entirety.
Frontwoman Tammy Faye Starlite, whose chameleon-like performances of Marianne Faithful and the Velvet Underground’s Nico have won critical acclaim, will be joined by keyboardist Bibi Farber, bassist Monica Falcone, lead guitarist Heidi Lieb, drummer Linda Pitmon, and rhythm guitarist Jill Richmond-Johnson.
The group has played in and around New York for years, garnering a strong following for its uncanny renditions of the original power pop band.
Joe’s Pub is part of The Public Theater, named after theatrical producer Joseph Papp. The restaurant and bar hosted Amy Winehouse and Adele in their U.S. concert debuts, and was once voted one of the best clubs in America by Rolling Stone.
Ticket information can be found here. There is a 2 drink or 1 food item minimum per person during every show at Joe’s Pub.
