It used to be that certain restaurants required that gentlemen wore jackets. Now, in a modern day version of that quaint era, certain cities are requiring masks at outdoors and indoors activities.
Los Angeles County will require masks to be worn at large outdoor concerts and sporting events starting at 11:59 PM on Thursday. The rule applies for events that attract more than 10,000 people.
The rule will apply regardless of vaccination status. Masks can be taken off briefly to eat or drink.
Elsewhere, Chicago, Washington, DC, San Francisco and New York City are requiring masks in public indoor spaces. New York is taking it one step further, requiring vaccination proof to be presented for dining and entertainment activities in indoors facilities, including restaurants, Broadway, and sporting events.
