The stirring new single is the second track from her forthcoming album, Warped: Resurrection (from Ghost Rhythm Records set for release on November 5) to be featured by the new series The Republic of Sarah. The first, Run, was licensed for the second episode of the series.  Additionally, Fowler has recently penned and performed tracks for shows like The Killing (AMC) and Orange is the New Black (Netflix).

“This is Not A Love Song,” started out as a lullaby, an homage to a loved one but evolved into something far more sinister,” said singer & performer, Wendy Rae Fowler. “Grief churns up a slew of emotions, and in the middle of the storm the focus changed from love to vengeance. It’s really exciting to know that so many people will get a chance to hear this single via The Republic of Sarah and I can’t wait to share the full-album Warped Resurrection later this year.”

Fowler’s work has been variously described as “Brutal and Beautiful” by The Sunday Times and “Eerie and unforgettable” by The Guardian. Oozing a dark, psychedelic allure, it’s propelled by a gritty energy as Wendy’s soaring, bewitching vocals flow against whirring psychedelic hooks and tribal beats, creating a captivating soundscape.

Prior to going solo, Wendy Rae Fowler was a founding member of We Fell To Earth, and has collaborated with numerous bands and artists, including vocals on Queens Of The Stone Age’s “Feel Good Hit of The Summer,” Mark Lanegan (Bubblegum, Field SongsHere Comes That Weird Chill), Eagles Of Death Metal (Death By Sexy) and Maya Jane Coles.
