Grammy-nominated, multiplatinum star DaBaby has launched DaBaby Cares, a dedicated platform for mental health awareness and wellness in honor of his late brother, Glenn Johnson, who lost his life to suicide.
This initiative is dedicated to raising awareness, dismantling the stigma surrounding mental health, and providing essential resources for both youth and adults facing mental health challenges. In partnership with Mental Health America of Central Carolinas, DaBaby also debuted a free downloadable resource toolkit titled “Youth Mental Health 101 Resource Guide.”
This custom designed resource offers critical mental health support, including education on the importance of mental well-being and self-care strategies and a self-reflection segment encouraging readers to assess their own mental health and identify areas for improvement. The guide also features practical guidance and actionable steps and tips for maintaining mental health, including coping mechanisms, and stress management techniques. It also includes a resource directory featuring local and national mental health contacts and services, ensuring that young individuals have the knowledge and tools they need to prioritize their mental well-being.
DaBaby is committed to creating a safe space for young people worldwide and building a supportive community that brings together mental health leaders, young people, and their families to provide real-time support for overcoming mental health challenges. This launch will be the first of his year round commitment to provide soon to be announced LP mental health programs to youth and families in the Carolinas and worldwide.
